This comic is kind of confusing, but I think it's saying that there are more republicans(elephants) than democrats in the supreme court. It's obvious that Obama cant make the shot in the comic because the elephants won't let it go in.

The article taht i read was called "bills must be paid; here are a few ways to do it" by Peter Hetland. This article was about paying your taxes and some tips on how to do it. It was also about what happens when you don't pay your bills (trust me you don't want to be stuck in that situation.)

Four facts that i learned from the article are...

1.I learned that it is important to pay your taxes so you don't fall bankrupt.
2.you can get money to pay for your bills by having a garage sale and sell things that you don't NEED
3.I also learned that sacrifise means to give up somthing that you didn't want to
4.I learned that it takes sacrifise to do all the tips it says in the article, it's one thing to say that you will do somthing, but it's another to actually do it.

I thought that this article was good because it not only told you about the problem but it also told you what to do. I thought that this article had good detail about what is happening that is so important that they write about it. I would recomend this article to people who don't pay there bills.

Well, the rebublican sign is an elephant, so I think this cartoon means that the republicans are preventing our president from doing anything because they don't like his ideas. He can't get them passed supreme court. I think that is what the cartoon is saying.

Emily and Carrie, I think you are on the right track in what you are saying. Remember that the President nominates supreme court members. However, whomever he nominates has to get voted in by the house and senate, and that is where the elephants (republicans) come in.
