"The History of Earth Day" by Amanda Davis. This article was on the man who was inspired to start what is now a national holiday and that man would be Gaylord Nelson. Amanda also tells about the steps Mr. Nelson went through to make Earth Day a reality.

Three facts I learned from this AOW were..............
-Back then Nelson decided that people like Americans didn't pay much attention to recycling or the environment.
-Gaylord was the man to think of Earth Day.
-Nelson's Birth day is on June 4, 1916.

I think that even though lots of people including kids help out to make Earth stay beautiful there are some though who believe that they need to look out for number one and there is no problems with that. But I think that may people have at least one time in their day to do something green. Also I wonder what people would think if Earth Day was changed to Earth Week?
