Japans Nuclear Crisis Widens was written by Mark Magnier, Barbara Demick, and Laura King. The article talked about Japans Nuclear plants. Also about what caused the explosion. And how to stop the reactors and it talked about radiation. The article took place in Japan.

Four facts I learned were:
1. 1.4 million households are without water.
2. 1.9 million households are without power.
3. In Miyagi 10,000 people died.
4. 100,000 troops are helping to safe people.

I liked the article because it talked about something thats happening right now. It was interesting because its something we don't talk about all the time. AI would recommend this article to people who care and want to help Japan.

"Japan's Nuclear Crisis Widens", an article written by: Mark Mangnier, Barbara Demick, and Laura King was about the recent happenings in Japan. A massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit Japan triggering an equally deadly tsunami. The death toll currently stands around 20,000, but will unfortunately continue to grow. Following these disasters, cooling issues at the nuclear power plants in Japan, have further added to the devastation in this country.

After reading this article I found the following to be interesting:
1. Water helps a nuclear power plant from melt down.
2. Japan has been a predominant leader in providing aide for countries dealing with natural disasters. Countries are now providing for them.
3. Japan has the third largest economy in the world.
4. High levels of radiation are hazardous to the health of a human.

I wish this article would have talked more about how a nuclear power plant works, and what the effects of radiation are to the human body. I could not imagine going through something as big as what the country of Japan is going though. Not only the earthquake, and tsunami, but the nuclear threat as well. I hope the nuclear situation gets under control so that the rebuilding process can begin in Japan. I would recommend this article to anyone wanting to learn more about what's going on in the world around them.

"Japan's Nuclear Crisis Widens" is an article by three authors, Mark Magnier, Barbra Demick and Laura King. It is about how the earthquake in Japan has caused huge problems. Nuclear power plants are failing to function correctly, and power is out all over. There habe been some reports of survivors found among the bodies, but the death toll is at tens of thousands and still rising.

Four facts I found in the article include, Train and subways that used to carry the Japanese people all over are now all shut down. Despite all the disaster, some people have had a workdays since the earthquake. The death toll has reached the tens of thousands. Houses were carried by the tsunami that was created by the earthquake, and some remained almost fully intact.

I thought the article was well written. I knew the earthquake had terrible effects, but this article helped me realize the full extent of what happened. I think it is great that people from other countries responded and are respondind in whatever way they can so quickly. I would recommend this article to people like me who don't watch the knew and therefore don't know much about what is going on.

The article was about the earthquake in japan. Now many people are dead. Nuclear plants to. This took place in japan.
Searching for survivors and ministering to the sick and hungry. Possibility of a massive radiation emission is low. Buildings of one of its six reactors. Intensifying nuclear crisis sent a wave of fear and anxiety through the quake.
I thought the article had very good information. There were some words in the article that i didn't under stand. I think people who have friends and family in japan should read this.

"Japan nuclear crisis widens" was about the nuclear reactors. and how they are overheating. but if the nuclear reactors are overheating then some parts of Japan wont have energy.

HELLO!
After reading this article (Japans nuclear crisis widens)My summary of this article would be that the nuclear power plants are causeing a big problem in japan because of how the plants were affected by the earthquake and tsunami and now life threatening situations are occuring because if one of the nuclear power plants explode the whole japan and coasts of the U.S.A could be at risk.
Four facts i've learned from this article are....
1.In Miyagie 10,000 people died.
2. alot of people will die from the radiotion sickining.
3.People used salt water to cool down the power plants but it only worked for two hours.
4.1.4 million people are living without water.
My overall thoughts on this article are....
I think that people should stop using nuclear power plants because of how dangerous they can be if damaged. so i think that th crisis with the power plants is sort of a lesson for us in the u.s.

"Japan's Nuclear Crisis Widens" was about Japan and the crisis over there. Also how the reactors are acting up and how much damage was caused by the earthquake and tsunami. Also how lots of other countries from around the world are helping out to rebuild the 3rd world country.

Three facts that I learned from this article were...........
-The radiation in Japan has gone up a little bit.
-Rescuers are still looking for survivors.
-Oner four different countries are sending to Japan search dogs, food, and searchers.
I think it is really nice wants everyone wants to help out and do the best they can to restore Japan to it's former state. Well I wonder if some other countries would do the same for us if we were in that situation. It just comes to this question "if we and other countries do this for Japan do you think we would do this for one another?"

Japan’s Nuclear Crisis Widens

The article talks about how the nuclear problem in Japan worsens. How many problem caused by the quake. And what are people saying about the quake.
I’ve learned that 1.4 million houses went without water since the quake.1.9 went without power. Out of 2.3 million people 10,000 residents died. The tsunami did more damage than the quake.

My thoughts are that we should NOT put nuclear plants by place hit commonly by quakes. Use safer energy sources. And this will prevent stupid placement of nuclear plants.

Japan's nuclear crisis widens, was a article about the nuclear problem in Japan. The Japanese workers think that the possibility of a massive radiation emission is low but they are still takeing some extra safety precautions to make sure it doesn't happen.

Four facts that i learned from the article are....
1. I learned that the possibility of a massive radiation emission is low.
2. I also learned that the death tolls keep rising up.
3. The central bank said it would inject a record $182 billion dollars into money markets to try to stabilize the finacial system.
4. Did you know that people are worried that Japan's nucular power plant might go off.

I thought that this article was good because there was alot of description about what is going on in Japan. I liked that this article stayed on topic and not talking about the earthquake or the tsnimi. I think that it is great that people from all around the world are coming to Japan's aid. "Japans nuclear crisis widens" by Mark Magnier was about the natural disasters in Japan, especially focusing on nuclear problems. The flooding made water pumps in nuclear reactors stop working. The exposed fuel rods are exploding and releasing rays of radiation into the air. The article takes place in Japan.

I learned that half a million people Japan have been evacuated from their homes because of radiation. 1.2 million houses in Japan have no water. 1.9 million houses in Japan have no water. Japans main stock index, Nikkei, plunged 6%.

I liked the article.it gave me clarification on the nuclear problems in Japan. The article gave good information on nuclear plants in general. I would recommend this article to anyone by the west coast.
