"Looking Beyond Don't ask Don't tell" was and article by Ben Adler. This article told about gays and lesbians getting into the army. I would summarize this article as how they can get in now.

Here are four facts i learned while reading this article: Theres a law about how gays bullying. That gays and lesbians are now allowed in the military. Owners and employees can keep gays and lesbians out of their business. Spouses of a gay soldier killed in combat who is denied survivor benefits will demonstrated the cost to gays of serving.

I kinda liked reading this article. It told some interesting facts about how they could get into the army. It also told how many laws there were for gays and lesbians. I would recommend this to gays, lesbians, and everyone in the army.

"Looking Beyond Don't Ask Don't Tell" was written by Ben Alder. This article was about the DADT act. Gays are now allowed to serve in the military. Gays are treated different than other people.

I learned the following from this article: I learned what the DADT act is. Gays are now allowed to serve in the military. Gays have more rights than they used to. Gays still have less rights than us.

I thought this article was bad. I am not really in to these kind of this and I never will be. I think we need to write something more age appropriate. I recommend this to age grads high school and up.

"Looking beyond don't ask don't tell"
Author:Ben Adler

The article is about gays and lesbians. also how there not allowed to serve in the u.s army. The articles title was a weird one.the article was taken place world wide.

The community faces a republican majority inthe house of representatives. Advoctes believe that the DADT repal will have a tricle down effect pushing other policy debates. Gay rights advocates are confident that will have a positive effect. In 1990, with the passage of DADT as well as the defense of marriage acct (dome)- witch defined marriage at the fedral levels as beging between a man and a woman.

My over all thoughts on the article where that the article was confusing. the article seemed like there wasn't any new things that i did dent know before. i would recommend this article to some one with a strong voice.

The title of this article is " Look Beyond Don't ask Don't tell." This article is by Ben Adler. This article was about gays and lesbians being treated differently. And gays and lesbians being allowed to join the military. This can be both good and bad. This is taking place worldwide.

Four facts I learned from this article are...
1. I learned what DADT stands for.
2. That letting gays join the military is postibe so the military has many more people.
3. They say gays are very lucky because not many presidents would have done that.
4. And people don't let gays work at there store.

My overal thoughts were the government shouldn't control what gays do differently. Just because there a little different. Just becasue there a little different. They still should have the same rights. I recommend this to everyone.

The title of the article is "Looking Beyond "Don't Ask Don't Tell" The author of this article is "Ben Adler" This article tells you how much gays and lesbians can do around the world. gays and lesbians cannot stay at hotels. That is good that gays can be in the military. This article is taking place nation wide.

Four facts i learned from this article are:
1) Gay and lesbians don't get to do a lot of stuff around the world.
2) Gays can be in the military.
3) I learned what trans gender means.
4) Harder to discriminate against gay now a days

This was a good article. I learned a lot about stuff that gays and lesbians could do around the world. There is a lot of gays and lesbians who want to be in the military. I would recommend this article to gay people.

"Looking beyond don't ask, don't tell" by Ben Adler is about gay rights. Gays can now serve openly in the military. However, in the USA some people are against it.
Some facts from this article are gays can now serve openly in the military. The three goals of the gay rights is marriage, equality and protection against discrimination. Some states let hotel owners deny gay couples a room. Some states let business owners not hire gay people.
I like the new law. It's good for gays, the country, and the military. I think this discrimination is getting out of hand. I recommend this article to gay people.

"Looking Beyond Dont ask Dont tell" was an article written by Ben Adler. The article talked about gay people being able to go into the military and getting jobs. Also about how people are mean to them. Also about the act in the 1990s. The article took place nation wide.

Four facts i learned are: hotel workers dont have to give a gay couple a hotel room. Some people wont give jobs to gay people. In some states its legal to get married to your same gender . Gay people can be in the military now

I thought the article was interesting. I think gays should have some rights but others they shouldn't. It gave good information. I would recommend this article to gays and people who discriminate them.

The article "Don't Ask Don't Tell" by:Ben Alders was about how the president sighned an act so that gay people can serve openly in the military. But people still descriminate gay people. People think that the "DADT" act will change how gay people are percieved in public.

Four facts I learned while reading this article are:
1. The president sighned an act saying gays can serve openly in the military.
2. A lot of people still descriminate gay people.
3. Groups are trying to help gay people gain more rights.
4. there are plenty of people that are gay that are willing to fight.

This article seemed really unfair. I could not believe that gay people can not do certain things just because they are gay. I think it is really unfair to not let someone serve in the military because they are gay and there are a lot of people willing to fight that are gay. I would recomend this article to people who are gay,and people who descriminate gay people.

"Looking Beyond 'Don't Ask Don't Tell" by Ben Adler is an article taken place worldwide. This article is about gays in the military and or about their life. They talked about how they might have a hard time finding a job because they are gay.

Four facts I learned from this article was:
1. Gays can serve in the military.
2. Last year they added gays to the list of groups protected against hate crimes.
3. Its harder to find jobs or careers.
4. You cant do little things like check into a hotel because you are gay.

My overall thoughts on this article was this article is OK. It didn't really interest me but it didn't bore me. It didn't interest me because it isn't a topic that catches my attention like other topics. I recommend this article to gays and lesbians.

"looking beyond don't ask don't tell"by:Ben Adley was about how gays and leasbeans can join the war.It also told us that gays should be treated the same way were treated. And it told us that the gays were taken off the hate crime list. This article was taken place nationwide.

Four facts that i learned were being gay may help with other proplems, people support gay rights, and if gays are in the war their personality changes so they will be treated like us, and that gays are allowed to be out and open.

I diidn't really like the article because it was difficult to understand.I also didn't like it because I don't really pay attention to gay stuff. And I don't get why they can't do stuff we can.I would recommend this article to anyone.

Four facts I learned from this article were...
1.You must be married to join the military.
2.I learned what DADT stands for (Don't Ask Don't Tell)
3.There is something called Defense Of Marrige Act (DOMA)
4.There is something called the Human Rights Campaign (HRC)

My overall thoughts were that the goverment shouldn't control what gays do differently because it isn't really fair to the. Just because their a little bit different doesn't mean that the goverment can take away their rights. They should still have the same rights even if they weren't gay. I recommend this article to gays, lesbians, and everyone in the army.

After reading this article (look beyond dont ask dont tell)I would have to sumaize this article by sayingthis was all about gays and lesbians serving in the army and mostly talks about the repeal on gays and lesbians serving in the army also mentioned in this article it shows that gays and lesbians are treated alot differntaly than non gays an lesbians. also this article is mostly taking place all aruond the world right now.
Four facts i learned about this article are.
1.gays and lesbians dont really have equal rightas non gays and lesbains have,
2.I learned that this is a really really big discussion right now in history.
3.i learne that this problem is occuring right now.
4government is passing a repeal on dont ask dont tell wich i think is wrong.
My overall thoughts on this article are: I thinkthat gays should not be treated this way and they should have as equal rights as we do and i think that the dovernment shouldn't have to be discusseng this because i think it shouldn't be discussed.

The article i read was called "Looking Beyond Don't Ask Don't Tell,"it was By;Ben Adler. This article was about gay and lesbian rights. It was also about if gays and lesbians should be aloud to join the military. Also it was about a bill that will protect gay students from bullying, extending marriage benefit to partners of gay federal employs, and removal of all tax disadvantagesof being a same sex couple.

Some facts that i learned from the article is the DADT stands for "Don't Ask Don't Tell". Did you know that a hotel manager can refuse to let a gay or lesbian couple book a room there because there gay or lesbian. A busnesis owner can refuse to give a gay or lesbian a job because they like men or women. I learned that the trickle down affect is where more thatn one person is affected.

I think it is wrong that people discrimanate gays and lesbians. I don't understand why gays and lesbians weren't allowed into the military earlier. I liked this article because it gave lot's of details on how gays and lesbians are discrimanated. I would recomend this article to anyone who doesn't know abou the DADT.

"Looking Beyond Dont Ask Dont tell"The article by Ben Adler is about gays not getting as much rights. It used to be if you were gay you could not be in the military. But the dont ask dont tell law said that if were gay you could be in the military.

four facts i learned were gays can be denied a jod because they were gay. The DADT law was all ready passed. The president did not want the law.

I thought that the article was kind of boaring. But it was kind of cool that we got to learn about the law.i would recomend this article to the military.

"Looking Beyond "Don't Ask, Don't Tell " by Ben Alder is about Obama recently signed the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell which expands say rights but in a limited way. Although gays can now serve openly in the military there are still other issues to be considered- namely benefits extended to gay partners, marriage, equality and, employment discrimination . DADT does not ban discrimination in the military.

Three facts that I learned in this article were...........
-DADT provides stickle the gays the right to serve en the military.
- In DADT does not how ever say anything about not being allowed to discriminant against them.
-Political think this is a step in the right direction for gays equal rights.

I would recommend this article to students and families across the country because I think it is important to know what is going on now in our country. I don't think this law is a very big step for gay right and in my opinion it's not a step at all. It only gives gays the right to serve in the military and that must not be a big bill.

"Looking Beyond "Don't Ask Don't Tell" was an article written by Ben Adler. This article is about how gays and lesbians can join the military. It is about how the government passed a law for gay rights. I think this article gave a lot of information about this. This article mostly takes place nationwide.

Four facts that I learned from this article are...
1. This is the first time they passed a law on gay rights.
2. When you're in a state in no such protections you are allowed to refuse gays.
3. It's lucky for gays and lesbians because President Obama has 2 years to put in protections.
4. Republicans can support a bill to protect gay students from bullying.

I think people like that should be treated the same as other people as other people. This article was so-so to me, because I thought it was kind of boring but at the same time full of information. I think they should've passed the law because people like that are being treated differently. I would recommend this article to people that are experiencing this.

"Looking Beyond Don't Ask Don't Tell" by Ben Adler was about gays and lesbians fighting in the US military.A big problem is that the gays and lesbians are treated unfairly.Thats not good.
Four facts I learned are that gays couldn't serve in the army.Gays can't get jobs easy. Some people create groups to help.Gays don't have all rights.
I think the article was an ok articleIt was confusing and so I didn't get it well.Otherwise it was alright.I recommend this article to the congress and gays.

"Looking Beyond 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' by Ben Adler is an article about gay people not being treated the same as other people. Gay people aren't able to serve ing the military and some employers won't hire them because of who they are. The United States government is trying to fix that.

Four facts that I learned from the article are... That there is such thing as Don't Ask Don't Tell. Gays are not treated fairly. That there is a problem with gays not treated fairly. And some people don' support the law.

I liked the article. I think it's funny that when people wrote that all men would be treated equal they ment this one group and not the rest. People should be able to do and think what they want. I would recommend the article to gay people who are struggling with not being treated fairly.

2. What the word symbolically means.
3. What lesbian means
4. Gays are allowed to serve in the military.

I did not like this article because it was hard to follow. The article did not interest me. I think that anyone should be able to join the military. I would recommend this to gays and lesbians.

Don't tell Don't ask

This article tells us about what gays wan't for thier rights.Gays only want three things marriage, laws to protect them, and equality.Gays are going over the first hurdle the article tells us,but there are alot more to come.

Four facts i've learned are what don't tell don't ask means, thiers a gays right organization, that gays can join the army and what D.O.M.A stands for.

I think that we should let gays be gaysbut do not allow them to tell kids what to think.I want to hear from my parents.Gays shouldn't be discriminated against but when wioll the hurdles stop.

"Looking beyond Don't ask, Don't tell" by Ben Adler was about gays and lesbians and transgendered people. They are being discriminated. They repealed 'Don't ask, Don't tell' because they think it will help them. The article takes place nation wide.

I learned that gay people are sometimes turned down from jobs because of their sexual orientation. Hotel owners can choose not to let a gay couple book a room. Republicans want to pass a bill to protect gay kids from bullying. The big goals of the gay rights movement are equality, marriage, and protection from discrimination .

I didn't like the article. I thought it was inappropriate for kids to read. It was also confusing to read. I would recommend this article to people in the army.

2. The DADT repeal is not finished.
3. Peoplr don't let gays work in stores.
4. Not many presidents would've done this.

My overal thoughts on the article were the goverment shouldn't be treating people this way. Gays are people too so way treat the different. They have rights too.I would recommend this article too everyone.
