Do I get enough sleep? Why? Why not?
Sleep is an area that I have always been conscious of. However, I still do not think I get enough sleep each night. I would say I average about seven hours of sleep nightly. I do not do this on purpose though. Many nights I have a difficult time relaxing because of other stresses in my life, wheather it be in teaching or coaching. After about 9:00pm each night I always try winding down by watching some television, but many times I am on the computer as well, which may be contributing to my not being able to fall asleep right away.

Has lack of sleep had a negative impact on my life?
Up to this point in my life no. I think my wife and I take very good care of ourselves. We eat healthy, and are active on a daily basis. I am also a person that listens by my body. When I am not feeling 100%, I always make a point to tone down whatever it is I am working on, and rest. I think that sleep, especially in youth is extremely UNDERRATED, and is something needs to be stressed more than is currently is.

Do you get enough sleep? why? or why not?
I think I do get enough sleep because I usually do stuff to make sure I get to sleep better, like wathching t.v. before I go to bed instead of running around.I usally get around 9 to 10 hours of sleep each night. Also I do not have a computer in my room to send off blue light and keep me from falling asleep. That's why I think that I get enough sleep each night.(probably not on the weekends.)

Do you get enough sleep?
I think i do get enough sleep because I'm never really tired at all during the day. I usually get about 9 hours of sleep each night. for me i do not need a lot of sleep but for other people they need a lot. If people don't get enough sleep that they need, they can get obese, get sick with a serious disease, their brain will function wrong and they will have trouble learning in class. so make sure you get the right amount of sleep you need!

Do I get enough sleep at night? Not really because in the morning I'm tiered and yawning and that goes till about lunch, it stops for little bit then continues to 2 : 00 p.m. , then stop and doesn't show up again till 7:00 .p.m. I try to check up on sleep on the weekends but sometimes that is not the case.

Q1:I do get enough sleep because I go to bed nice and early at 8:00 - 8:30. But the price to pay is to get my homework done pretty fast. I usually go to bed early except at sleepovers. So my final answer is yes I do get enough sleep:)

A recent study of 12,000 high school students showed that most students got less than eight hours of sleep every night. Studies showed that teenagers really need at least nine hours of sleep every night. Studies also show that sleep problems can cause bad heath and behavior problems. Also this can cause trouble learning, exercising good judgment, being overweight, and getting sick with serious illnesses. Some scientists believe that using computers at night can interfere with your body clock.

In summary sleep is important to keep your body and brain in good health. So get enough sleep and try not to stay up late doing homework or working on the computer, unless it is due tomorrow.

Do you get enough sleep? Why? Why Not?
How has lack of sleep had a negative impact on your life?
I don’t think I get enough sleep because of all my sports activities, homework, and active mind. Sometimes I am tired from sports and activities during the week. Also, I get tired during the weekend from activities and chores. That makes me feel like I never get a break. Now I understand how important sleep is so I will try to get as much sleep I can get.

Q2:I usually don't have a lack of sleep. Only at sleepovers. The negative impact on less sleep at sleepovers is that I'm crabby and very mean. Sometimes T punch my sisters or something else. That's the impact.

Q1; Do you get enough sleep why or why not?
I do get enough sleep every night, I make sure everything I need to get done is done by the time I need to go to bed. Also I get myself to sleep faster by listening to slow music, it may sound weird but trust mt it works.
Q2; How has lack of sleep had a negitive effect on your life.
Since I do get enough sleep every night there really isn't a problem, but if I didn't I probly would be really cranky and tierd.

I do get enough sleep because i go to bed usually 9 O'clock and i wake up around 6 O'clock and that is 9 hours and you are supposed to get 8 hours of sleep. So i usually get 1 extra hour of sleep.

How has a lack of sleep had a negative impact on your life?

No lack of sleep hasn't effected me because I usually get 9 hours of sleep. It could effect people by being really tired and falling asleep in class.

i think that getting enough sleep is important and that only getting 7 hours of sleep is not good the minimum is 9 hours. so i think that it is important to get enough sleep so next time think about not going to bed do it or suffer the consequences of being tired in the morning.

Do you get enough sleep? Why? Why not?
Sometimes I do but sometimes I don't. I usually get the borderline amount of sleep or more but if I have hockey or something else late, then if I get around seven hours of sleep.
How has lack of sleep had a negative impact on your life?
Lack of sleep has been bad because you're really tired when you get up and you might not do that good in school because you didn't get enough sleep.

Do you get enough sleep? Why? Why not?
Yes, I usually get between eight to ten hours of sleep every night, depending on if it is a week night. My mom and dad are very good at making sure that I get enough sleep every night. On week nights I usually get to bed around 8:30 and sleep until 6:00, which is nine and a half hours of sleep. Well, I guess I don't always get to sleep at 8:30, but I always am asleep by nine, which is still nine hours of sleep. I feel good after a good night of sleep and it leaves me feeling ready for the day.
How has a lack of sleep had a negative impact on your life?
When I get a lack of sleep I am VERY crabby and it makes my friends and family not want to be around me and pretty much ruins my day. A lack of sleep will definitely have a negative affect on your life, even if it is not right away. GET ENOUGH SLEEP!

Do you get enough sleep?
No i do not because i can never fall asleep and i dont know why it just is hard to. I think that little kids should have school earlyer because they are up early and they are excited for school while we drag ourselfs out of bed and it doesnt just seem right. then we would be less tired throught the day.

How has lack of sleep had a negitive impact on your life?
Not getting enough sleep makes me feel sick and it also makes me tired throught the day! when you are at school and you are tired it is really hard to concentrate am i right? to prevent being tired by to go to bed at a responsilble time and dont eat candy or drink soda after 7:00.

How has not enough sleep effected you?
When I don't sleep enough you can usually tell that night because I will be REALLY cranky. I love to sleep but I DON'T like going to bed. So usually I stay up reading. But then I am cranky. What do I do when I can't sleep but have to because I would be cranky the next day? Questions, questions, questions.

i think it is important for you to get enough sleep so that you have energy for the next day. Espeisally high schoolers, they need that energy to do good on tests so they can get into a good collegeand have a good job. To many people don't do good in high schooland and that shows in there job aplications and deplomas. when that happens there stuck living on the street or the goverment takes care of them.

How does lack of sleep impact your life?
When I don' get enough sleep at night, it has a lot of impacts on me. I am usally super crabby in the mornings if I don't get enough sleep. I also feel very weak and like I need to go to bed or sit down so my muscles wake up. I also feel like I'm zoned out from everything except the thing I'm focused on. I think that getting enough sleep is important.

Do you get enough sleep? Why? Or Why not?
Yes I think that I do because in my family depending on what you age is jy brother will always probablly have a later bed time then me because he is older then me by 4 years. So in my family you can either go to sleep when it is your bed time or you can go to sleep earlier then it. But our number one rule is that you can never stay up later then your bedtime unless it is not a school night. So the reason I say yes I do get enough sleep is because my family is very strict on getting enough sleep for the next day

Do you get enough sleep? Why or Why not?
I think I do get enough sleep because on school nights I usually go to bed at around 8:30-9:00pm at the latest, then I wake up at around 5:45 each morning. So I get around 9 hours of sleep each night. But I also do not have a computer in my room so that means it doesn't give off a blue light to make me not fall asleep. I like that because if I get enough sleep at night, I feel better during the day than feeling like i'm dragging myself around because i'm so tired. But certain nights I do get to bed a little later, like on Tuesdays I have dance until 8:00 at night. I don't get to bed until around 9:30 because I just came from an activity that involves jumping around and taking a shower afterwards. Anyways, most of the time I do get around 9 hours of sleep.

The article "Big Fish in Troubled Waters" by Stephan Ornes was about how overfishing is causing larger fish to disappear. As technologies grow, more predator fish are being caught. If they are caught, the little fish population soars and eats the vegetation, throwing off the food chain.

Four facts I found in the article include: The cod is a predator and is being over fished. Scientists did marine studies in the 1880's.
AAAS stands for American Association for the Advancement of Science. Some people enjoy eating shark, leading to it being over fished.

I thought the article was well written and easy to understand. it was easy to tell that it was written for children because it explained everything well. In my opinion, the whole problem could be easily solved by limiting or stopping the fishing of these fish for a while. i would recommend this article to people who don't know that over fishing is taking place.
