Authors commonly provide hints about what will happen next in a story, this is called foreshadowing. How does Doli's reaction to Maibon's wish foreshadow what is to come? Please explain this in three to four sentences.
maibon's wife did not like the stone one bit because she sayes it keeps on giving them bad luck. She also said the baby is teething. But there is no sign of any tooth or teeth.
Doli's reaction to Maibon's wish foreshadowed to what will happen next by figuring that his wife would be angry at him. That every man would chose that instead of something useful for the whole family. It ended up to be that Maibon's wife was mad at him.
Dolis reaction I thought said that she would not be happy with him. I also think that Doli thought that Maibons decision was self centered. It also ended up that Doli wasnt happy with Maibons decision.
Doli, the dawf gives mailbon his wish foreshowed that every day will be the same. Mailbon could of have wished for a havest for the rest of his live or that he and his family to never get sick. Then at the end every day is the same.
Doli said "those stones you're babbling about? yes, there are such things. but greatly overrated." Maibon could of got the "plentiful pot" or the ever sharp ax. but being the selfish...maibon!... that he is, he said" stone stone stone stone. me me me me me."
I thought Dolis reaction was that Doli gave him 3 iteams " A hazelwood twig to help you find water if your well ever goes dry? An ax that never needs sharpening? A cook pot always brimming with food?" Maibon wanted none of those iteams. Maibon just wanted a magic stone that can keep a man young forever." Maibon said "Just as good!"
Doil was really mad that maibon use his wishes in a selfish way. I no i would be mad. she was really mad at him also because he just wished for himself not for his family.
I think that Doli's reaction to the stone is that she is not going to like it.I also thought that Maibon was only thinking about himself not the rest of the family.Maibon could have gotten something for the whole family such as tools, pots and pans or jackets, not just something for himself.
Doil was really mad that miabon use his own wishes in a tarible way of being selfish. It was easy to tell he was selfish because he wished for himself, not his family. He couldv'e wished for a thing that all of them liked and needed for the family.
Doli was upset we all the wishes in the world and he used it really selfishley. He was being selfish because he could of used the wish to help his family. When Maibon wished for this you could tell his wife was going to be upset.
Doli was mad at Maibon for taking the stone and told Maibon not to even take the stone. Doli even gave Maibon 3 other choices, the ax, the hazeltwig, and the cook pot with food. Doli trying to convince Maibon was foreshadowing that bad things will only happen if Maibon takes the stone. Then later in the story Doli turned out to be right about the stone and Maibon realized the selfish mistake that he had made and the better choices that he could have decided on.
I think that Doli was very mad and upset that Miabon used the wishes in a bad way. I think that he was selfish too! It was very easy to see and tell that Miabon used all of the wishes for himself and not the rest of his family. I think that he should have wished for something that all of the family and him could use.
Doli's reaction to when he saw that Miabon had used his wish on the stone and not the other three items that Doli had told him to get was why? The foreshadow for Doli's reacton ended up coming true at the end when Maibon noticed that getting the stone for himself was a bad idea just as Doli had said. he noticed that he should have gotten something for his family instead of something for himself.
Doli was really mad when she found out how Maibon used the stone. I agree with everybody else that the wish was a selfish wish because Doli gave him three other options but Maibon went off and did something else when he could have gotten something for the family
Doli was angry at Maibon because he could have used the 3 wishes for something more useful for him and is friends and family. I think he was being really selfish to everybody else too. He could have wished for things he actually needed too.
Doli was mad at maibon for using his wish in a selfish way. He was just thinking about himself. I think that foreshadowed that he will come to regret making that wish or he should.
I think Doli was shocked and that foreshadowed that it was a dumb choice for Maibon to take the stone. Because he could have better things. His wife said the baby was teething. If he stayed young forever he would not see his family ever again because he would not die.
I think Doli's reaction, was kind of irritated, for wishing of something so stupid, and that forshadowed how stupid it was. The crops weren't growing, his baby was teething, but Maibon didn't care about it at all, and he kept realizing how dumb it was.
I think that Doli was annoyed by the fact that people kept choosing things for themselves instead of even thinking about what the consequences could be from the selfish choice, and was foreshadowing that he was not going to like the selfish choice he made.
