I think Percy will get attacked by monsters when he's at home with his mom. I also wonder what happened to Gabe? I think Percy will have to battle Luke. I wonder if Percy will find Pan and awaken him from his sleep.
I have loved reading the book the Lightning Thief. I love how the book kind of ties in history and learning with the story. Before I read this story I only knew about 2 gods. I think the writer was great when writing the plot of the story. It really hooked me and made me want to keep reading. Our group finished the book the Lightning Thief last week so we will have to get a new book for this week.
Some important details from the book is that Percy succeeded in his quest to get Zues's Master Bolt, but it turns out that Ares had it instead of Hades. Percy defeated Ares but he learned from talking with Luke that Ares was just a minion of Kronos, Lord of the Titans. I think this book is just like the Eragon series, because it seems that Percy always gets into trouble wherever he goes, and meets numerous monsters, and this is like Eragon, because he runs into everything that he really shouldn't. When we talk, I would like to talk about what might happen in the next book and what things didn't get answered.
I personally liked this book very much because it has Greek gods in it and I love learning about ancient gods. This book was an absolute page turner, I felt like I couldn't put it down, whenever I got to the end of the assignment, I'd always skim through the next couple of pages because the chapters were so suspenseful, sometimes a little humorous and they were really exciting. There were somethings that I didn't like, like how Percy at the end didn't show Gabe the box that he sent the gods, I also didn't like how there wasn't much action, like, I kind of wish the war between Percy and Ares would've been a bit longer and a bit more descriptive. We've finished the book so we'll not be reading more.
The setting of the story is at camp half blood leaving to go home.My prediction is that in the next book there will be more Olympians and more quests for Percy.Percy also succeeded with his quest to get the lightning bolt for Zeus and now he is going to go to camp half blood the next summer. it was a very good book like the part where the minotaur attacks in the beginning and squishes his mom i was kind of disappointed about that but it did make the story better and it was kind of funny how the minotaur was wearing tighty whiteys and how Grover kept on saying food food food.I also liked the part where Mrs.Dodds turned into an Olympian and attacked him the he turned her into dust like his mom.
